Taco Broccoli Salad

Here's another tasty new dish that I'm sure will become a staple for your dinners. 

We feel, as we do about most things that real whole food is the way to go for most everything our physical bodies may be facing. It would make sense to consume the foods that have hormone properties, support our liver to support healthy hormones and clear waste, and support our blood system to move everything through.  

This recipe boasts broccoli, a cruciferous vegetable, and cumin, fantastic not only for the benefits it gives hormonally, but in the cardiovascular system.

This recipe has other heart health benefits too, which is a must, seeing that cholesterol is also necessary in making hormones. Often hormonal disturbances, can also bring with it liver and heart symptoms as well.

Taco Broccoli Salad

Sauté 1/4 cup chopped onions and 2 cloves minced garlic in 1 Tablespoon butter. 

Add 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin

Put in serving bowl and add:

2 cups chopped Broccoli 

1 cup chopped pine nuts (I've used walnuts in a pinch, with good results)

1 Tablespoon honey (can substitute agave for vegan)

1 Tablespoon coconut vinegar (white wine vinegar would work as well)

Can be eaten warm, or for a lunch time treat, straight out of the fridge.
