The 10 Loaded Questions to Strip Down the Emotional Reason You're Gaining Weight

The 10 Loaded Questions to Strip Down the Emotional Reason You're Gaining Weight

Whether you were dealing with body image and weight before our current situation, it's true, our current experience is NOT helping the efforts of weight loss and health unless there is POINTED effort to make a difference.

Here's the danger and why you need to take control of your weight image now:

1.  Weight influences health outcome....which of course affects immune health and ability to protect against infections and pathogens.

2.  Depression can cause obesity.  Many may be feeling depression as a result of uncertainty and/or isolation many are currently experiencing.

3.  Anxiety can cause obesity.  There were a lot of people that suffered feelings of anxiety beforehand, but now, with fear of the unknown, fear of death and suffering, fear of coming down with COVID, fear of job loss, etc can increase feelings of anxiety.

4.  Boredom can cause obesity.  How true is this?  Is it your belly or your mouth that is hungry? Are you trying to eat to comfort the ache in a hungry belly, or eating to fulfill a need of stress, worry, or anxiety.

We may not feel like we are able to control much at this point, but we can get involved in our centering inside ourselves.  It's a great time to put attention on getting right with your body, mind and soul once again, while there are less expectations to perform.

The truth of the matter is that you will determine which statistics you believe, and what YOU specifically are going to do to better yourself AND your health.  I'm here to help you let the above named four be merely CONCEPTS and NOT the programming to which you attach yourself to.   Let's look build a strong self of self through identifying possible limiting concepts so we can alter the way you receive life right now.

Try this ROOT CAUSE exercise to help "strip down" the emotional reason for adding layers of protection to your weight gain.

Interestingly, the root behind problems with weight rebalancing is NOT physical, but conceptual, meaning you have a belief that is programming the cells of your body to respond, and then produce.  Many common concepts about weight exist, like a person who has heard they’re whole life how big they are, or using weight as “padding” to emotionally protect a person from the harm or verbal abuse they suffered, or to keep people a good distance away.  To truly heal the illness, we need to take an honest look at the reasons WHY your body is manifesting this outcome.

Answer these questions quickly and honestly.  It is best if you answer them as fast as you can, with the first thought that pops into your head.  It’s helpful to have someone else ask you the questions so they can keep you moving quickly.  Why?  We don’t want to think too much about our answers, make judgments on ourselves, or change the answers to what we “know is the right answer”.  Don’t just answer “yes” or “no”, give explanation so that you can see deep into the belief set.

  1.  Are you lovable?
  2. Do you have enough people to love you?
  3. Do you love yourself?
  4. What don’t you have enough of?
  5. What do you wish was different in your life?
  6. Are you in love with your life?
  7. Do you have unconditional love?
  8. How do you feel about your childhood?
  9. What’s causing your body to put on weight?
  10. Are you important?

These are only a few prompts that can lead to BIG discoveries about how you feel about yourself.  We are trained to be “humble” but have truly lost sight of the real meaning of the word.  This does not mean we can’t love the creation that we are, and this “hiding” can be a big reason why your body hides in the shroud of excess weight.

Now, take a look at your raw and real answers from above.  The process is actually very simple.  If you look at each statement you made in answer to the question, do you WANT to feel that way, believe that way?  Anything that sounds like "victim" or has the air of sympathy or pity should be looked at.  Victim is not our natural state.  Our natural, healthy strong state is to experience adversity or challenge, learn, and return to our innately designed selves. Is what you said really true?  If your body believes it to be true, it will keep looking for ways to make it true, so you need to give it a new truth to provide evidence for.  Give yourself a few phrases or sentences INSTEAD to remove limiting beliefs and harmful programming.

Once you identify some concepts, it's a good idea to rethink the image for your life.  You can sign up to get more lessons like this and get this FREE Mashup Tool to help define your desires and goals.   You can get more help with weight loss goals including more concepting exercises with DrFoodie's Weight Rebalancing Course.  Check it out here.
